You can get updates from any website feeds directly as instant message in Messenger through a service by inezha.com.

For Google Talk, you need to add chat bot  inezhabot@gmail.com to your chat list and subscribe to a feed by using command “input <feed_url>“. You can get list of commands by sending ? message to the chat bot. Now, you can receive updates from the feed as the feed url is updated.
