Facebook should use Google Pagerank technology to order updates in its news feed
Friendship is priceless. But, not all friends are equally important. Some friends may be more value for us. We may not want to miss single update ( status update, posts) from those friends. While there may be some friends with whom we do not talk much. Also, we do not want to hear updates from them frequently unless they are really important. They might be annoying sometimes.
So, facebook should have some sorting technique like pagerank of google, which could order updates from friends. It should probably consider some terms for ordering like how often we chat with friends, how often we send messages, how often we comment to each other, how often we share groups, fan clubs, networks, etc. Facebook already has the ability to hide updates from selected friend but that may not be enough. Sometimes we want to hear some important updates from that hidden friend such as video posts or link posts or game result posts. Also, hiding similar posts from same person, hiding long comments is really good approach taken by facebook.
