Windows Live Hotmail has added a feature to import emails from your Gmail or other email accounts to your Hotmail account.
Only you need to do is configure your pop account that means you need to know POP3 user name, Incoming mail server and port number. In case of Gmail and other popular email accounts, hotmail automatically figures out incoming mail server and port number. Point to be noted here is only Gmail provides POP facility free. In case of Yahoo, you need to pay to get that service.

So, to configure Hotmail to receive emails from Gmail, you need to go to Mail Options -> Send and Receive mails from other e-mail accounts and give the credentials. As it says, you are able to send and receive email from Hotmail putting Gmail address as sender address also.
